i first met Lena in Bulgaria where we were both teaching. We recognised each other immediately as kindred spirits. We lost touch, but by a wonderful coincidence we both turned up in Bradford, since when we had been such close friends. Lena was a wonderful woman who will be sorely missed by all who knew her. I also echo the comments by other members of my family who remember the fun and laughter we had together. The world is poorer for her loss.
