In my younger formative years I used to stay with Lena and David in Thornton Shipley and so on Lena could always relate to my age group. To me she was an educational role model taking me to a Koran exhibition in Exeter then onto Dawlish along with two students whom she taught. Something I’ve never experienced before and opened a different world to me. Lena was a fab Mum wife grandmother sister-in-law and friend as you all aware. But in her own right to me she was a strong intelligent intuitive woman who will be sadly missed by all whom knew her and whom bore tremendous strength to the end.
