The Bradford years

My memories of Lena go back to student days at Bangor in 1970-71. A year later she generously gave me a temporary home before I found a flat. We were colleagues sharing the same classes at a secondary school. Lena was always so active and upbeat, loved company but was also good listener. I think of her dancing, laughing and making trenchant comments about the shortcomings of the UK, or about other drivers when at the wheel of her car. She was always there for others. I shall miss her.
